AI Impact Summit 2026: India Hosts World’s Largest Global AI Conference

New Delhi, February 5, 2026 – India is preparing to host the AI Impact Summit 2026, a historic event that will bring together the world’s leading voices in Artificial Intelligence. Scheduled from February 16–20, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the summit is expected to be the largest global AI conference ever held, with participation from more than 100 countries, 500+ startups, and tens of thousands of innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders.

Scale and Participation

The AI Impact Summit 2026 has already recorded 35,000+ registrations, reflecting unprecedented global interest. The accompanying AI Expo will feature 300+ exhibitors from 30 countries, spread across 10 thematic pavilions. These will showcase AI applications in governance, healthcare, agriculture, education, smart cities, and sustainability.

Startups from across the globe will present breakthrough innovations, while established technology companies will demonstrate large-scale AI deployments. The event is designed to foster collaboration between governments, academia, and industry.

Themes: People, Planet, Progress

The summit is built on three guiding pillars:

  • People – Ensuring AI benefits communities, supports inclusive human development, and addresses social challenges.
  • Planet – Leveraging AI to tackle climate change, environmental sustainability, and resource management.
  • Progress – Driving equitable growth, innovation, and digital transformation across industries.

This framework reflects India’s vision of using AI not just for technological advancement, but for human-centric and sustainable impact.

India’s Strategic Vision

India is positioning itself as a Global South leader in AI governance, shifting the narrative from AI Action to AI Impact. Ahead of the summit, the government unveiled the India AI Stack, a comprehensive framework covering:

  • Applications – AI solutions for governance, healthcare, and education.
  • Models – Indigenous AI models tailored for diverse languages and contexts.
  • Compute Infrastructure – Expanding high-performance computing and cloud facilities.
  • Data Centers – Building secure, scalable, and energy-efficient data hubs.
  • Energy Frameworks – Ensuring sustainable power for AI growth.

This initiative aims to democratize AI access, enabling deployment at population scale and ensuring that innovation reaches every citizen.

The summit also aligns with India’s long-term vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, where AI is seen as a key driver of inclusive growth, digital empowerment, and improved public service delivery.

International Recognition

The AI Impact Summit 2026 has drawn strong global support. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will attend, describing AI as “an absolutely crucial issue in international relations.” His presence underscores the importance of multilateral cooperation in shaping AI governance.

Other dignitaries expected include ministers, CEOs of leading tech firms, Nobel laureates, and AI researchers from across the world. The summit will serve as a platform for global dialogue on ethics, regulation, and equitable access to AI technologies.

Why It Matters

The AI Impact Summit 2026 will be the largest of the four global AI summits held so far, marking a turning point in how nations collaborate on responsible AI. Unlike earlier summits focused on action, this one emphasizes measurable impact – how AI can strengthen communities, protect the planet, and accelerate progress toward a just and sustainable future.

India’s leadership in hosting the summit highlights the growing role of the Global South in shaping the AI narrative, ensuring that innovation is not limited to a few nations but shared equitably across the world.
